Intergenerational Photography Project

Background:

It is often observed in our society that elders are stereotyped as being dull and lack liveliness. However, after visiting the YueCheng senior care facilities a few times, I realized that the reality was actually opposite. I found that a lot of the elders have childish traits that are even more observable than the youths that I have met. I decided that I was going to present this to a larger crowd and raise awareness among them. As a photography enthusiast, I naturally chose a to organize gallery-style exhibition to present my work.

   4. April 11th, 2024, YCCK - Elders story telling & teaching traditional painting

4. Selecting and editing photos

5. Writing thoughts and reflections for each photo + self introduction

6. Printing the photos & setting up at the exhibition

7. Participating in interview for exhibition opening ceremony live stream

8. Leading an online gallery walk and introducing my work
